Jyagdikhola Literary Foundation to Honour Three Writers with Literary Awards

Jyagdikhola Literary Foundation has decided to honor three literary figures with various awards. The foundation has chosen Prof. Dr. Jagadish Chandra Bhandari, Ramraj Regmi, and Kaji Roshan for three distinct literary honors.

According to the decision, Prof. Dr. Jagadish Chandra Bhandari will be awarded the Vishwaradhanetra Sahitya Puraskar 2081. Established in 2075 by Devendra Lamsal, the president of the Jyagdikhola Literary Foundation, in honor of his parents, this award recognizes Dr. Bhandari’s five decades of continuous dedication to literary creation. The award carries a cash prize of NPR 15,000.

Likewise, the foundation will present the Jyagdikhola Sahitya Samman 2081 to author Ramraj Regmi from Pokhara, who is dedicated to culture and philosophy. Regmi is known for his dynamic and thought-provoking intellectual writing.

Additionally, the Jyagdikhola Sahitya-Kala Puraskar 2081 will be awarded to Baglung-based literary figure Kaji Roshan. Roshan, who has played a significant role in the institutional development of Dhaulagiri’s literary landscape, is also the founder of several awards. This award includes a cash prize of NPR 10,000.

To select the recipients for these awards, the foundation formed a three-member selection committee, led by the foundation’s joint secretary, academician Narayan Marasini, with advisor Tikaram Wagle and writer Bhim Ranabhat as members.
