The Lalbandi Municipal Literary Council has decided to confer this year’s ‘Literary Martyr Krishna Lal Adhikari Memorial Award – 2081’ on senior literary journalist Rochak Ghimire.
The Council stated that the award has been established in memory of Krishna Lal Adhikari, the author of the book Makai, who became a martyr while fighting against the Rana regime through literature. The award is funded by the interest generated from the memorial fund, and it has been decided to start granting this award from the year 2081.
Council President Achyut Adhikari announced that the award, which includes a cash prize of NPR 50,000 and a certificate of honor, will be presented to journalist Ghimire for his long-standing service in the field of Nepali language and literature.
