Journalist Bhagishwor Limbu has released his poetry collection on Tuesday during a cultural program held in Basantpur, Terathum.

The collection consists of 35 poems composed in the Limbu language.

The collection was made public by Urban Development Minister Sita Gurung.

Speaking in the event, Minister Gurung said that the local government should also put efforts to encourage the literary writers.

Poet Bhagishwor expressed his hope that his poetry collection would enhance the love for poetry among the latest generation of poets and literature enthusiasts interested in poetry.

Arjun Mabuhang, Mayor of Laligurans Municipality, emphasised the significance of publishing works by poet Bhagishwor, especially at a time when interest in language, script, art, literature, and culture was declining in the Limbu community.

Poet Limbu has been active in journalism for the past two decades, serves as the station manager of Radio Memchhyayem and is the former vice-president of the Federation of Nepal Journalists, Terhathum.
