International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) has announced INLS Poetry Festival 2023 to mark the 104th birth anniversary of late Rashtrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire. A press release issued by the organisation says an international Nepali poem competition will be an integral part of the event. INLS has asked interested poets to submit their poems for the competition latest by 15th of September, 2023 via email inlspoemcontest2023@gmail.com.
The organization has asked the contestants to submit their poems together with their brief introduction, a recent passport-sized photograph and the contact number. It says a panel of expert judges will examine the poems and shortlist the poets for the recital. The festival will be carried out virtually through ZOOM on 7th Asoj occasioning the birth anniversary of Poet Ghimire, connecting diverged participants from across the world. The winners will be announced immediately.
The winner and the two consecutive runners up will receive 500$, 300$ and 200$ as cash prize respectively along with certificates.
