The International Nepali Literary Society has initiated preparations for the election of the Central Committee for the term 2024-2026.
A meeting chaired by the President of INLS, Govardhan Puja, formed an election committee under the coordination of journalist Gunaraj Luitel, including members Dr. Chudamani Khanal and Dr. Kavita Ghimire.
Scheduled biennially, the upcoming elections will determine the 17th president. With approximately 2,400 lifelong members spanning five continents, INLS stands as the sole longstanding and active literary institution of its scale across the globe.
President Govardhan Puja informed that the upcoming new committee will be handed over on Bhanujayanti. For the new central committee, the upcoming election will elect a president and a senior vice-president, one vice-president from each continent, a general secretary, treasurer, and five members from each region. The committee will appoint two members to complete the 17-member committee.
