Graduation

Samasti Adhikari

It was the first day,
And I lost my way.
I asked: Who am l?
How much did I weigh?

Days passed by,
Exams quickly said ‘Hi!’
I was proud of my results,
But found later that was a big lie.

Step by step,
Lesson by lesson
Others said, “All we do is to learn!”
But I was actually having fun.

After tedious hard work,
Teachers still say more.
It is almost graduation day,
But I am definitely not okay.

Primary school comes to an end,
Getting older every second.
It is end of June,
I am wondering and looking at the glistening of the moon.
