Abhimanyu Majhi
A girl in mid-teen
entered the inn
Face you heard in a fable
sat across the table
An old man raised his brow
and exclaimed, “wow !”
Looking coolly around
where males abound
She stopped at me
and looked at my cup of tea
She replied unfazed
astonishingly as I gazed
Ignoring my grin
she shouted for lime and gin
Dismal look she sent
as if I was non-existent
From deep within her school bag
she took out a pack
After a couple of sips
put a cigarette between her lips
Blew off a dense cloud
a signal clear and loud
Warning all the men
beware of the incoming rain
Call it a bluff
but I was knocked off
“You impressed me a lot”
I gave a shot
“Not only are you cold,
but also very bold.”
Forgetting to keep her tone low
She asked, ” So!”
“You’d come to that, I knew,
tell you what, F### you!”
