The book ‘From Indrayani to the UK’ is Dhurva KC’s memoir, recounting his journey from Indrayani, a small village in Kathmandu, to the UK many decades ago, following his departure from his service as a veterinary officer. The book explores the writer’s journey from his hometown and the struggles and efforts he made to become the pioneer in the Catering business and a role model in the tourism industry. Within many decades that followed, K.C became a successful figure in  Tourism industry and Catering services. His efforts in bridging Nepal with the UK and connecting Nepalese culture, cuisine, arts, literature, and social welfare with the British people are outstanding. Despite personal obligations and responsibilities, he accomplished this through collaboration with various organizations and voluntary services

Author KC also recounts the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned while navigating the dynamic and ever-evolving industry of tourism and catering through his memoir. The organization aims to flourish Nepali culture, cuisine and language in UK and other European countries. As the president of the Yeti Nepali Association UK, KC actively promoted tourism and cultural awareness while demonstrating his deep affection for his homeland. Through his individual and organizational efforts, numerous cultural, literary, and artistic exchange programs were organized annually in the UK.

His memoir depicts his laudable initiative to introduce, develop and promote Nepal’s tourism industry by opening the first Nepal Tourism Information Centre -NTIC in London with the motive of highlighting the positive impact on Nepalese hospitality, magnificent mountains, diverse culture and enhancing the right image of Nepal with the Britishers. KC has even directed a few movies in his early life to promote the Nepali lifestyle and livelihood based on social issues in the International market. He even became a publisher of a magazine named Kingdom of the Himalayan with the motto of introducing Nepal, as the best destination for long vacations and holidays and to allure many tourists in Nepal from around the globe. His involvement in creating an eco-tourism documentary project also significantly facilitated the promotion of tourism in Nepal.
