Frankfurt Nepal Day Set for May 24 with Cultural Performances and Notable Guests

Frankfurt, Germany – Nepali Samaj Germany, a longstanding community organization representing the Nepali diaspora for over two decades, is set to host the 10th edition of Frankfurt Nepal Day on May 24 at Saalbau Bornheim, Frankfurt.

The all-day celebration will feature a vibrant mix of children’s activities, academic talks, cultural showcases, and networking opportunities aimed at strengthening ties among the Nepali community in Germany. A highlight of the event is the participation of speakers from both Nepal and Germany, who will cover a range of topics while promoting Nepal’s tourism sector.

Dr. Shail Rupakheti, Nepal’s Ambassador to Germany, will grace the event as the chief guest.

This year’s special guest, Susmita Maskey, the first Nepali woman to conquer all Seven Summits — including Mount Everest three times — will share stories of her mountaineering journey and reflect on the allure and challenges of Everest.

Prominent Kathmandu Metropolitan City official Shailendra Jha is scheduled to speak on the transformative role of education in achieving national prosperity. German experts will also discuss potential areas of Nepal-Germany collaboration, especially in enhancing helicopter rescue services in Nepal.

Adding to the festivities, renowned musicians Jason Kunwar and Shiv Hari Khadka will perform traditional Nepali music. Local artists from Frankfurt and neighboring areas are also set to take the stage, showcasing the cultural richness of the Nepali diaspora in Germany.
