Dr. Mati Prasad Dhakal’s five books have been released simultaneously during a literary ceremony held on Saturday. Born in Baglung, Dr. Dhakal has been associated with the service of Nepal Sanskrit University since 33 years.
The event, organized by Nepal Dhakal Society Foundation at Devghat, Tanahu, occasioning its establishment day on March 17, was attended by different literary and religious figures. All five books were jointly made public by the chief guest of the event Swami Ramananda Giri from Mahesh Sannyas Ashram, and the president of the foundation Tika Ram Sharma Dhakal.
Among the five works recently released, ‘Swarvedic Prakriya,’ a comprehensive Nepali commentary on Padini’s Vedic grammar, published by Astha Agam Dhakal, stood out. Along with this book, ‘Padiniya Vyakaranko Anushilan'( Padiniyan Grammar Practice,’ Hamro Sansakar Ma k Cha?’ (What is in our Culture?), ‘Shikahya Kasto Hunu Parcha’ (How should Education Be)?, and a collection of essays titled ‘Bharatiya Tirthayatra’ (Indian Pilgrimage) were released. .
Dr. Dhakal, who has been on a writing journey since 2056 BS, has so far published 18 works, with ‘Mahabharat Ma K Cha?’ (What is in Mahabharata?), being the most popular among them.
