Kamal Kanta Dhungel
I was trying to prove that an animal’s physical body structure depends entirely on the gravity of the planet where they reside. In other words, creatures in low gravity must be tall and vice versa. However, I wasn’t sure whether it was true. I did multifarious experiments and observations, but the results always frustrated me. They were always negative. Since I couldn’t gather or find any evidence in favor or against my assumption, I decided to move off the Earth into the vast immense space to search for a planet with weak gravity.
Now, I had to find my destination planet that was not too far from Earth and that contained a surplus of oxygen in the atmosphere, water, an ozone layer to protect from harmful radiation, fertile land, and a mediocre temperature in addition to weak gravity. I started my search within the solar system. Previous research had already revealed that Mercury and Venus didn’t have an atmosphere, so I took them off my wishlist. Mars matched my wishlist; however, I knew it didn’t have living creatures. Jupiter was a planet of strong gravity, and Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune’s gravity were comparable to that of Earth. So, the solar system was no longer a destination for me. I extended my research to extraterrestrial planets.
I started studying planets that fit best with my hypothesis. After rigorous study for about six months, I spotted a planet lying about 700 AU away from Earth. I baptized the planet Kam-21.
It was too far! I was hopeless. With the current speed of rockets, it would take many years to reach there. I was strolling hopelessly when I heard news about the discovery of superfast flying saucers by a young boy named Aban from Egypt. The news said, “A young boy, aged 23, has given a miraculous gift to the 21st century. His invention is a milestone in the fields of astronomy, space travel, space migration, time dilation, and length contraction. We can now pragmatically check every high-speed phenomenon that was previously impossible due to the lack of high-speed technology.” Indeed, he had invented a high-speed technology using solar energy that could move as swiftly as 1 AU per day. What a surprise! I jumped up in excitement.
Immediately, I contacted Aban. He gave me the green signal and became interested in joining me on this mission.
Aban and I were moving swiftly towards Kam-21, enjoying our voyage. We were submerged in the beauty of the vast immense universe. We reached Kam-21 in nearly two years. As soon as we landed, we stepped out of our flying saucer and witnessed that our new world was surprisingly bizarre. The trees were far taller than on Earth. We saw different types of wild animals, all extremely lanky. I surmised they must be taller than giraffes. My hypothesis was about to be proven true, judging by the height of the animals and plants there. We were about to suffocate and immediately put on our oxygen masks to breathe easily. We felt lighter, and as we walked forward, we felt like running swiftly. It was hard to control our pace and balance. We were eager to observe the aliens or human-like creatures there to confirm my theory of the connection between body structure and gravity.
We had landed in the midst of a dense forest where there were no aliens, so we moved forward to get through the forest.
After nearly a month, we saw many tents in the distance. We became happy and set our destination towards the tents. When we reached near the tents, we heard sounds that resembled gunfire, blasts, or battle. Our hopes shattered. Nonetheless, we dared to glance toward the shooting zone and found that a battle was ongoing between two entirely different bizarre creatures.
Unlike our expectations, there was a mixture of all sorts of creatures. Some aliens were dwarf and stout, while others were tall, lanky, and skinny. Both sides were firing bizarre weapons at their opponents fiercely and aggressively. They were screaming furiously. We became very scared and regretted coming to this distant planet just to confirm our theory. We lost hope that we could return to Earth alive. Meanwhile, a tall and skinny creature hid behind us. He was shivering and seemed very scared.
At first, we decided to run away, thinking he might be one of the battalions of the conflict zone and might harm us. But when he pleaded for support to protect himself from the battle, we decided to understand him and the situation surrounding us.
He said that he was an indigenous and native inhabitant of the planet Kam-21 and had lived there peacefully and happily in harmony until it was invaded by creatures from their neighboring planet named ASX-34. The dwarf and fat creatures were from ASX-34 and were trying to capture the planet to make the creatures of Kam-21 their slaves. Hearing his pathetic story, we decided to help the creatures of Kam-21.
For this, we trapped and captured a creature from ASX-34 and tested his body anatomy. We found that their skin was made of calcium carbide. We then devised a plan to spray and shower them with water so that they would vaporize, forming ethyne gas.
We used the water tank that we had carried in our flying saucer for our voyage and started spraying towards the battle zone using a local helicopter available nearby. Immediately, their bodies started burning and vanishing in the form of ethyne gas. Seeing this horrific condition, their friends started running away.
All the creatures of Kam-21 cheered with happiness and hugged us.
The creatures there were all tall and lanky. The fat and dwarf creatures didn’t belong there; they had just eloped.
This proved my assumption that creatures in a planet with weak gravity must be tall. I said, “Eureka! I was right.”
We explained everything about our mission to the inhabitants there and said, “Now, we must leave.” They waved us goodbye in farewell and said, “Come back again. We are very happy to have met honest creatures like you.” Before leaving, we got inside our flying saucer and set our journey back to our home, Earth.
