The English version of Janatako Choro, titled ‘SON THE PEOPLE’, an autobiography of former Chief of Army Staff Chharaman Gurung, has benn released at a ceremony in Kathmandu.
The release event took place at Gurung’s private residence in Baluwatar, where the book was jointly unveiled by the author, former Lieutenant General of the Nepali Army Om Bahadur Pun, and Min Bahadur Gurung, the owner of Bhatbhateni Supermarket and a noted social activist.
At the ceremony, Min Bahadur Gurung highlighted the book’s message of national potential and domestic achievement. He emphasized that the English edition would broaden the book’s audience.
Everest Television President Nirmal Gurung congratulated Chharaman Gurung for his efforts in elevating the community and the nation through dedication and integrity.
Dr. Pratik Man Singh Gurung, Chharaman Gurung’s eldest son, discussed the decision to publish the book in English, believing it would inspire the new generation globally.
Prabal Man Gurung, the younger son, reflected on the valuable lessons and cherished memories shared with his father, expressing hope that future generations would benefit from the book.
Chiran Jung Thapa, who translated the book into English, expressed his honor in being part of the project and mentioned that readers would gain significant insights from the book.
