Educationist and writer Dr. Sadananda Kadel’s two books Shaikshik Akashka Ujjwal Nakshatra and Jhulko Ankhama have been jointly launched at a ceremony held on Saturday at Greenleaf Restaurant, Putalisadak, Kathmandu.
The event, organized by Nepal Srashta Samaj and chaired by Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’, featured prominent figures including Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, Prof. Dr. Basudev Tripathi, Prof. Dr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema, Prof. Dr. Anjana Bhattarai, Prof. Dr. Man Prasad Wagle, Prof. Dr. Vidya Nath Koirala, poet Om Shrestha ‘Rodan’, Pawan Alok, and Prof. Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel, who collectively unveiled the books.
Speakers emphasized the need to promote higher education in the Nepali language and criticized the politicization of education. Dr. Kadel’s Jhulko Ankhama, a collection of 60 lyrical poems, was praised for its heartfelt themes of patriotism, nature, childhood, and women’s emotions. Shaikshik Akashka Ujjwal Nakshatra was described as a vital historical record of Nepal’s educational development.
The event included remarks by Prof. Dr. Tripathi, Mathema, Sharma, Wagle, and others, with coordination by Devika Timilsina and a welcome note by Tara Subedi.
