Dr. Karmacharya’s Second Book ‘Katroma Khalti’ Launched

Dr. Suman Karmacharya’s second book Katroma Khalti has been launched during an event organized by Literary Journalists’ Association at Dalo Restaurant, Anamnagar. The book was unveiled by senior Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala and other guest attendees.

Presiding over the event, President of the Literary Journalists’ Association, Radheshyam Lekali, praised Dr. Karmacharya’s literary contributions and recalled the association’s past activities, including the 1981 felicitation of BP Koirala.

In his remarks, Dr. Koirala portrayed Dr. Karmacharya as a committed advocate of democratic socialism and a medical professional devoted to serving the poor and the underprivileged.

Critic Pramod Pradhan, in his review, noted that the book boldly exposes the distortions and anomalies prevalent within political parties, the government, and their leaders. Likewise, Editor Bimal Bhaukaji described Dr. Karmacharya as a versatile talent and fondly recalled their shared roots in the same village.

Dr. Karmacharya, reflecting on his literary journey, said he had been inspired by the ideals of BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. He stated that he carried forward their values in his writing. Fiction writer Bhagirathi Shrestha congratulated Dr. Karmacharya, describing him as a personality deeply committed to his ideals.
