The 5th General Convention of Sahitya Sadan has elected Prof. Dr. Hem Nath Paudel as the new president of Sahitya Saddan.
Additionally, the convention also elected Mitralal Pangini as vice-president, Prahad Pokhrel as secretary, Krishna Subedi as joint secretary, and Basanta Rijal as treasurer of the new committee. While those newly elected members were; Bimal Aryal, Sita Bhattrai, Nabaraj Chalese, Maniraj Lamichhane, Rr. Gita Tripathi, Keshav Silwal, Ramesh Khanal, Trilochgan Aryal, Madav Shrestha, Shyam khatiwada, Sunita Budathoki and Bishwanath Tamang.
All the committee members were unanimously elected by the convention. Sahitya Sadan was established as an academy of public in 2042 BS.
