Dhruvaraj Thapa’s ‘Sapnako Pahad’ Released

Dhruvaraj Thapa has brought a collection of short stories addressing social evils and anomalies.

Thapa’s short story collection Sapnako Pahad was launched during a ceremony organized by the Sirjana Abhiyan Society. The book was jointly unveiled by Dr. Pushkarraj Bhatt, a member of the Language Commission, writer Dhruv Madhikarmi, critic Dhirakumar Shrestha, and author Deepak Lohani.

Speaking at the event, chief guest Dr. Pushkar Bhatt highlighted the importance of a work’s impact, stating that the stories in the collection convey meaningful messages to society. Critic Dhirakumar Shrestha noted that Thapa’s stories shed light on the anomalies, deviations, and sensitivities of society in an enlightening way. Similarly, critic Deepak Lohani described creators as the engineers of the creative world and remarked that Thapa’s stories bring novelty and are worth reading.

Author Dhruvaraj Thapa shared that while he had an interest in literature since his student days, he has become actively involved in recent years.

Lata KC, President of Hamro Laghukatha Kendra, disaster expert Dr. Deepak Bikram Thapa, and Trilochan Dhakal congratulated Thapa for making his birthday meaningful by publishing the book.

The event included a welcome speech by short story writer Indira Chapagain, and authors Prarthana Khanal, Mandira Chapagain, Ramesh Subedi, and Shanta Timilsina read one short story each from the collection.

The program was chaired by the society’s secretary, Dhruv Madhikarmi.
