Biratnagar :– Chetana Conservation Foundation, Biratnagar has announced awards in various fields, including literature, culture, arts, and journalism. A meeting of the foundation’s executive committee declared half a dozen awards. The ‘Dharmananda Rampyari Sitoula Sahitya Chetana’ Award, carrying a cash prize of NPR 151,000, will be conferred upon literary figure Chudamani Bandhu this year. Similarly, the ‘Balkishan Narbadadevi Mundada Sanatan Manaviyata Dharma Sanskriti Chetana’ Award will be presented to Bhanu Bhakta Joshi (Bajhang), while the ‘Om Prakash Goyal Samajsewa Chetana’ Award will be given to Indira Rana Magar (Jhapa), according to the foundation’s chairperson, Ganga Subedi.
Indira Rana Magar also serves as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. These awards carry a cash prize of NPR 51,000 each, along with a certificate of honor.
Likewise, the ‘Naresh Subedi Sahityik Patrakarita’ Award will be presented to journalist Kamal Paudel (Morang), the ‘Bhupendra Shobha Rijal Lalitkala Chetana’ Award to artist Santosh Panta (Kathmandu), the ‘Dr. Narendra, Yogmaya, Bhawanishankar Chapagain Yuwa Pratibha Chetana’ Award to young talent Ramji Ram (Rautahat), and the ‘Kedarnath Manju Satyal Bal Pratibha Chetana’ Award to child prodigy Abhash Dhakal (Syangja).
Except for the literary award, all other awards carry a cash prize of NPR 51,000. According to Chairperson Subedi, all the announced awards will be presented at a special ceremony in Biratnagar on Magh 26 (Saturday).
