Changunarayan Literary Society, Bhaktapur has announced for the ‘Nation Open Poetry Competition- 2080’.
According to the announcement, interested poets are asked to submit their Nepali poem composed in not more than 200 words by the end of Poush. The statement also reads that participants can follow any genre of poetry on the contemporary issues. The Society will first shortlist 20 poems considered to be the best for the final round. The selected 20 poets, then, will be called for the recital in a special programme . As per the notice, participants are requested to send a recent passport sized photograph, name, address, contact number of he concerned poet along with the poem via email at [email protected].
The notice also claims that the participants standing first, second and third in the competition will be awarded with cash prize 10000, 7000 and 5000 rupees respectively along with a citation for each, while two poets will receive 2500 rupees as consolation prize.
