Poet Chaitanya Adhikari’s new poetry collection, “Juddha Shamsherka Naam Ma…” (In the Name of Juddha Shumsher…), is set to be published soon. The book will be available in the market through Sahityapost starting from the third week of Bhadra (August-September).
The poems in the collection use satire to critique contemporary injustices while also exploring themes such as urban and rural life and a love for nature. Adhikari is known for his distinctive style of presenting ordinary topics with a serious tone, guiding society from darkness towards light.
“My thoughts are personal advocacies. Although I do not believe they will have an immediate impact, I feel a sense of responsibility to occasionally share what I have written,” says poet Adhikari about his forthcoming book.
Ashwini Koirala, the Chief Editor of Sahityapost, mentions that Adhikari’s poems convey messages of hope. “We are grateful for the opportunity to present poet Chaitanya Adhikari’s poetry collection to readers. We believe it will be a valuable offering for poetry enthusiasts,” he states.
Adhikari, who earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Saga University in Japan, has previously published a poetry collection titled “Jhariko Kinar” (On the Edge of the Rain). He also serves as the secretary of the Pokhreli Yuwa Sanskritik Pariwar.
The book is being published by Shabda Media Pvt. Ltd., the parent organization of Sahityapost (e-daily). Priced at 350 rupees, the collection includes 65 poems.
