The Lalbandi Municipal Literary Council has called for submissions for the ‘Lalbandi Nagar Bangmaye Bhasa tatha Sahitya Puraskar 2081’. Releasing a notice on June 16, the council has asked publishing houses and authors to submit their books (written in Nepali), published after 2079, for the award by July 2.
The council has set a cash prize of 50,000 rupees for its national level award and 10,000 rupees for its local level award.
Additionally, starting this year, the council has decided to award the ‘Sahityik Shaheed Krishnalal Adhikari Memorial Award’ to one national personality who has made a long-term contribution to Nepali language and literature. This award will also carry a cash prize of 50,000 rupees, as informed by Achyut Adhikari, the president of the Lalbandi Municipal Literary Council. The award will be distributed during a special ceremony that will be held on the council’s establishment day.
Established to promote Nepali language and literature, the Lalbandi Municipal Literary Council annually presents its awards to literary personalities at both national and local levels.
