Book Exhibition Ongoing at Nepal Academy

A Book Exhibition is currently ongoing at Bhanu Bhakta Hall of the Nepal Academy and will continue until Shrawn 5 (July 20, 2024).

The book exhibition features books on the Nepali language, literature, culture, art, history, philosophy, sociology, and more, all available for sale. The exhibition aims to promote the reading culture by making the Academy’s books accessible to readers.

With the slogan “All languages, all knowledge, everyone’s Academy,” the exhibition also showcases important and research-oriented books from the Academy. The exhibition includes various customs and cultures of the Himalayas, Hills, and Terai-Madhesh, as well as dictionaries of different languages.

Books and magazines published before 2070 B.S. are available at a 60% discount, while those published from 2071 B.S. onwards are offered at a special 40% discount for individuals or institutions purchasing them.

The exhibition also features reprinted books such as Amarkosh, Nepali Sahitya Kosh, Kautilya’s Arthashastra, Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Confessions, Ishaadi Nau Upanishad, Greek poet Homer’s Odyssey, Hareram Joshi’s Pracheen Abhilekh, and Guman Singh Chamling’s Aristotle and His Poetics ‘Peri Poietikes,’ among others.
