Alaka Malla’s ‘Manka Taranga’ Released

Poet and lyricist Alka Malla’s literary work Manka Taranga was launched amid a special ceremony at Apex Business Hotel in Sinamangal.

The event was attended by prominent personalities from various fields who praised Malla’s creation for its originality and simplicity. Professor Dr. Sant Kumar Wasti admired the unique and straightforward style of the book and expressed confidence that it would win readers’ hearts.

Constitutional expert Bhimarjun Acharya recited a poem titled Matritwa (Maternity), while singer Deep Shrestha shared his surprise at the release of such a collection, saying he hadn’t expected such a work to come forth, before expressing his intent to sing one of the songs included in the book.

Poet Dhruba Joshi recited a ghazal, while writer and film artist Rajendra Shalabh and Bishwabimohan recited poems at the event. Commenting on the collection, writer Shailendra Sakar said that poet Mall had beautifully and emotionally depicted themes of love and nature.

Senior literary figures like Prakash Sayami and Chairperson of the Nepal Urdu Academy, Imtiaz Wafa, were also notably present at the event. Conducted by Naresh Bhattarai, the ceremony was marked by the participation of writers, travelogue authors, artists, musicians, and singers from diverse disciplines, making the event both special and memorable.

Manka Taranga is a collection of songs, ghazals, and poems by Alaka Malla.
