The 7th Convention of the Federation of Nepal Books and Stationery Business(FNBSB) has elected Shivasagar Sharma as the National President. The convention, held in Kathmandu, lasted for two days electing Krishna Ram Karki as the coordinator of the audit committee, and formed a 38-member working committee.
Sharma secured 323 votes out of a total of 511, while his competitors Diwakar Ghimire received 102 votes and Rishiram Sharma received 86 votes. Besides being elected president, Sharma is also the director of Goodwill Publications.
Additionally, Matrika Shivakoti was elected as the Senior Vice-President, Narayan Kumar Shrestha, Buddhi Prasad Adhikari, and Saroj Maske as Vice Presidents, Vishnu Prasad Paudel as General Secretary, Arjun Prasad Acharya as Joint Secretary, Tara Ram Shrestha as Treasurer, Mahesh Sharma and Shambhu Lamichhane as Secretaries, and Kopila Giri as the Women’s Secretary of the Federation. Similarly, Rabin Baral was elected as the Deputy Treasurer, and Krishna Ram Karki was elected as the Audit Coordinator of the Federation.
The newly elected president Sharma has expressed his commitment to enhance the dignity of the Federation and to work diligently towards solving the problems faced by entrepreneurs during his tenure.
