Fifty five stories have been longlisted for the ‘5th Dish Home 12khari Story Writing Competition 2080.’
An internal jury formed under editor Govinda Adhikari selected 50 stories out of 843 stories it received from different story writers around the world. Following this, the judicial committee composed of prof. Dr. Sabitri Kashyapati, story writer Mohan Bikram Shahi and novelist Subin Bhattrai will shortlist 25 best stories for the final round.
Those selected story writers are Burma-based Sahityapost correspondent Tai Tai Dhital, Anil Kurmi, Amrit Dahal, Amrita pathak Chaulagai, Anamika, Anita Koirala, Anita Panthi, Anjan Pradip, Basanta Bayung Rai, Bharat Bahadur Ranabhat, Bikas Dahal, Bijay Hitan, Bikram Nepal, Dipal Lohani, Dhaka Mohan Baral, Dibya Giri, Dilli Raman Paudel, Dimanu, Gurmachgan and Dr. Dhreedhar Khanal.
Similarly story writers Hira Lama, JN Dahal, JB Khatri, Jiban Khatri, KSG Gaule Birohi, Krishnaraj Khanal, Kshitiz Magar, Mahesh Chaulagai, Manojbabu Pantha, Meghu Shrestha, Mohit Joshi, Nirmal Ghimire, Nirjala Adhikari, Pramod Pyakurel, Prollas Sindulia, RC Rijal, Robort Joshi, Radhika Kalpit, Rajendra Adhikari, Rajesh Subedi, Ram Adhikari Kamdari, Rama Subedi, Ramsh Jung Thapa, Rumu Neupane, Samarpan Shree, Sanjay Ghimire, Sankhar Dhital, Shiva Lamichhane, Sharada Khanal Parajuli, Shiva Upreti, Sameer Neupane, Somnath Dahal, Suraj Shreevastav, Tanka Chaulagai, Tribhuvan Wagle and Uma Sharma are among the longliste ones.

The winner and two consecutive runners-up will be cash prized with 100000, 60000 and 40000 rupees respectively. The remaining shortlisted 22 stories will be honored with 5000 rupees along with the certificates. It has also been announced that an anthology compiling the 25 best stories will be released as ‘Best Story-2080’ after the competition.
