The 3rd International Watercolor Art Festival will be held from 16 to 20 December 2023 in Kathmandu. NB Gurung the president of the International Watercolor Society, Nepal formally announced the schedule of the festival entitled entitled, ‘Kathmandu: Great Civilization of Antiquity’ amid a press conference. He said the festival will be organized with the main objective of promoting the historical heritage, art and culture of Kathmandu Valley.
Dipendraman Banepali, the general secretary of the society, informed that the festival shall comprise of group art exhibition, art demonstration and on-the-spot painting workshop at Hanumandhoka, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Tokha and Budhanilkantha
Lalkaji Lama, Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts said, “The festival will showcase the glimpses of the ancient civilization of Kathmandu valley more closely and make it better more known to the world as the capital of art and tourism.”
The participating artists will create paintings under the title of Kathmandu Valley and send them for the exhibition.
