14 Plays Selected for 16th National Children’s Theatre Festival

The 16th National Children’s Theatre Festival and Children’s Short Film Exhibition 2081 is set to commence on February 12. The festival, which will take place at Shaili Theatre in Ratopul and the Russian House (Russian Center for Science and Culture) in Kamalpokhari, will conclude on February 18.

According to the festival coordinator, Sabin Neupane, 14 plays have been selected for the event. These include Tarebhir by Holy Angels Public School, Shadow by Sunshine English Boarding School, Rakta Paso by Akashganga International School, Ko Chor by Darshana School, Abhagi Aran by Hile Secondary School, Tulsi by Velocity School, Deuki and The Alchemist by Samriddhi School, Lauro by Mrigashira World School, Khelne Bela by Kathmandu Pragya Kunj School, Padhna Ta Man Lagchha by United Universal School, Yashasvi Bhavah by Peak Point Education Network, Rameshko Asha Ko Tyandro Raju by West Point Residential Secondary School, and a play presented by Shaili Theatre.

The results for the children’s short films are yet to be finalized. Special awards in seven categories will be presented to the competing plays during the festival.
