12Khari media has announced ‘Fifth Barakhari Story Writing Competition 2080’ amid a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday.
12Khari has appealed story writers across the world to participate in the story writing competition. Interested participants are requested to mail their original Nepali story at 12Kharibooks@gmail.con by 30th Ashoj. As per the press release, the original story should be composed in between 1500 – 4000 words. The notice has also asked to send a recent pass port sized photo, contact number and a brief introduction of the author along with the story.
An internal jury formed under editor Govinda Adhikari will first select 50 stories from the stories it receives and will let the judicial committee to shortlist 25 stories for the book “Best Story- 2080”. The winner and two consecutive runners up will be decided from the 25 stories who will be cash prized with 100000, 60000 and 40000 rupees respectively. The remaining shortlisted 22 stories will be honored with 5000 rupees along with the certificates. It has also been announced that an anthology compiling the 25 best stories will be released as ‘Best Story-2080’ after the competition.
12Khari Books has been conducting open story writing competition since four years. The competition of this year is considered to be the 5th season of the competition.
