Conferred every even-Nepali year, “Pratik Dhakal–Lakshmi Sarvottam Kriti Puraskar” has released a list of 10 books to be considered for the award. The organization awarding the prize, Shri Ram-Gita Vangmaya Mandir, has issued a notice publicly revealing the names of the 10 works.
According to the announcement, the selected books are Bikram Bhakta Joshi’s Chobhar Blues, Chandra Gurung’s Jaba Euta Manche Harauchha, Manoj Tharu’s Tuwara, Ilya Bhattarai’s Mishar, Haribol Kafle’s Yashodhara, Yuvaraj Nayangare’s Yakajee, Rajendra Tarakini’s Bigan Ramko Madal, Ashok Thapa’s Santapko Dhun, Shiv Prakash’s Samabhog, and Rajendra Bimal’s Sarbariya Tol.
The Mandir’s president, Gita Khatri, has signed the announcement, and another notice declaring the winner will be released shortly. This award has been established in honor of the eminent writer Pratik Dhakal. The president of the Mandir is Gita Khatri, a writer based in the US, while its patron is Ram Khatri, also based in the United States of America.
